LONDON, Feb. 4 -- The government of the United Kingdom issued the following news:

The A46 Walsgrave junction connects the A46 to the B4082 at Walsgrave and this junction is currently a 3-arm priority roundabout. The proposed A46 Coventry Junctions (Walsgrave) schemecomprisesof a grade separated junctionlocatedto the north of the existing Walsgrave roundabout with the B4082 extending to the new junction.

The application wassubmittedto the Planning Inspectorate for consideration byNational Highwayson14November2024and accepted forexamination on12December2024. 

Following anexamination during which the public,statutoryconsultees andinterestedparties were given the opportunity to give evidence to the Examining Authority, recommendations were made to the Secretary of State on7November2025.  

This is the62ndtransportapplication out of171applications examined to date and was again completed by the Planning Inspectorate within the statutory timescale laid down in the Planning Act 2008.  

Local communities continue to be given the opportunity of being involved in the examination of projects that may affect them. Local people, the localauthorityand otherinterestedparties were able toparticipatein this six-monthexamination.  

The Examining Authority listened andgave full consideration toall local views and the evidence gathered during theexamination before making its recommendation to the Secretary of State. 

The decision, the recommendation made by the Examining Authority to the Secretary of State forTransportand the evidence considered by the Examining Authority in reaching its recommendation are publicly available on the project pages of the National Infrastructure Planning website.
