LONDON, May 20 -- The government of the United Kingdom issued the following news:

* Lisa Tremble appointed as Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Executive Leadership Board at DWP from 1 April 2026. * Lisa brings extensiveexpertisein HR,leadershipand transformation, including senior experience at British Airways. * The appointment has been madein accordance withthe Public Appointments Governance Code, with all required approvals secured.

An expert in HR, leadership and transformationhas been appointed to the Department forWork andPensions (DWP)Departmental Board as it continues to deliver the government'sprioritieson employment, welfarereformand the skills agenda.

Lisa brings extensive experience, most notably from her senior career at British Airways, where she developed significantexpertisein people strategy, corporateaffairsand organisational change.

She willsupport the departmentas it drives forward its work on the skills agenda and public service transformation.

Secretary of State for Work and Pensions,Pat McFadden,said:

New Non-Executive Director to the Department for Work and Pensions, Lisa Tremble said:

Lisa joins the DWP from the Cabinet Office where she has been serving as a Non-Executive Board Member.

* Lisa Tremble's appointment has been madein accordance withthe Public Appointments Governance Code. All required approvals have been secured from the Cabinet Office Public Appointments team, the Prime Minister and the Commissioner for Public Appointments. * Lisa Tremble is appointed for a three-year term from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029. The role carries a fee of £15,000 per annum, plus anadditional£5,000 for chairing the Executive Leadership Board. * Lisa isthe Chief People, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Officer, and a Member of the Management Committee at British Airways. Prior to that, she was a Group Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Director at Direct Line Group Plc and the Director of External Affairs at Mishcon de Reya LLP. * The Non-Executive Board Membersare responsible forproviding support and challenge to the department's ministers and senior officials on the delivery of key policies and programmes.
