LONDON, Sept. 1 -- The government of the United Kingdom issued the following news:

The Chevening China Financial Fellowship Programme is a new initiative designed to engage mid-career and senior Chinese financial professionals. It aims to strengthen UK-China financial cooperation through structured academic and professional exchanges.

We welcome bids from eligible UK Universities and Institutions with academic and professional expertise in the following areas:

* Financial Regulation * Financial Policymaking * Banking; Capital Markets; Investment Management * Sustainable Finance * Insurance; Risk Management

This bidding round will seek to identify a UK University or Institution to design, implement, and deliver a bespoke curriculum for between 9-12 research fellows, mid-career Chinese Professionals who are leaders within the financial sector over a three-year period.

Selection Criteria

Bids will be assessed against the following criteria:

* Innovation and Design: An integrated and innovative training approach to encourage real engagement for Fellows in the UK. * Professional experience, delivery plans and monitoring: Previous experience of providing such programmes for mid-career highflyers with capacity to deliver the training and provide mechanisms for effective monitoring and evaluation. * Accommodation & training infrastructure: Convenient location and adequate accommodation for executive level course participants with good quality extra-curricular facilities. * Financial Aspects: Competitive fee rates in relation to the market, explaining methodology and benchmarking and demonstrating value for money.

We draw your attention to the belowkey points:

* Proposals should be for the provision of a 3 month research fellowship for 3-4 fellows annually. * We anticipate that tuition/research fees for this programme would be in the region of £7,000-£12,000 per fellow pa. * All funding must beactivity-based.

Process

* Project proposals must be submitted by 23:59 (GMT) on Wednesday 1 October 2025. Late proposals will not be considered. * Proposals must include an Activity Based Budget (template included), which must be completed in English. * Proposals must be submitted to:barry.bobin-martin@fcdo.gov.uk

Important Information to Note

* Project payments will be paid in arrears in three instalments, on a annual basis. Implementers must have enough resourcing to fund one third of the project costs at a time. * Bidders should send the Activity based budget in GBP sterling. * If the project is approved, implementers will be expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the British Embassy Beijing.
