* HMRClaunches'Tax Confident'websitedesigned tofilltax knowledge gaps.Itcovers tax essentialsfrom setting up abusinessto retirement. * Improvingcustomer experience is key to HMRC'sTransformation Roadmap and supports thegovernment'sPlan for Growth.

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC)has launcheda new'TaxConfident' websiteand is encouraging people to use ittohelp filltheirtax knowledge gaps.

It is designed around real-life situations,helping people to find information that is relevant to their circumstancessuch as'tax inretirement', 'small businesses' and'working life'. The websitealso features'tax basics',to help peopleunderstand the essentialsandincludes information about the freeHMRC appand extra support team in the'getting more support'section.

With simple explanations, videos, and examples, Tax Confident makes it easier for people to understand tax. It also has links toGOV.UKguidance for when people are ready for more detail.

LaunchedinMarch 2026,Tax Confidentwill grow overtime.As well as the basics, currentresourcesareaimed at pensioners,andpeopleestablishingnew small businesses, whosometimesfeel unsure about tax and are more likely to look for help.
