LONDON, Sept. 7 -- The government of the United Kingdom issued the following news:

Ianbringsmore than40yearsof finance leadershipexperiencespanningprofessional services, globalpharmaceuticalsand luxury retailtotheNAD Group.

As CFO,Ian willjoin theNAD GroupExecutive Committee andplay a crucial role inhow the NAD GroupdeliverstheDefenceInvestment Plan (DIP),reacting to Defence's new capability priorities.Under his leadership,the Group'sfinance professionalswillsupportthe NAD Groupteamsresponsible fordeveloping, delivering, sustaining,housingand harbouring the UK's 'national arsenal' and defence estate.

Ianhasa history of crafting smart financial strategies and improving performance in bothFTSE 100and private internationalcompanies,andhas helped solve financialbusiness challengesforFTSE 100 firms.

Commenting on his appointment, Ian Brimicombe said:

I'm delighted to be joining the National Armaments Director Group as Chief Financial Officer. Having spent my careerin the private sector,I'mexcited by the opportunity to bring that experience tothe Ministry ofDefence at suchan important timefor the organisation, fordefence and for the UK. Ongraduatingfrom King's CollegeLondon,Iancompleted his accountancy and tax qualifications at Coopers and Lybrand (now PWC). Afterbuilding a strong technical foundation across audit,taxand corporate finance, he movedintothe pharmaceuticalindustry, joiningwhat laterbecame AstraZeneca, where he spent over 20 years in increasingly senior leadership roles.

IansubsequentlyjoinedtheBritishfashion house,Burberry, where he spentnearly sevenyears supporting finance and business transformation, including navigating the organisation through the COVID-19 pandemic and leading refinancing activities.Most recently he was CFO at Abercrombie & Kent Group.
