LONDON, Dec. 17 -- The government of the United Kingdom issued the following news:
On Wednesday 17 December 2025, officers from Greater Manchester Police arrested the individual on suspicion of offences under the Fraud Act 2006. The alleged offences relate to the delivery of SIA licence-linked training.
Following the arrest, staff from the SIA's Inspections and Enforcement directorate conductedasearch atoneresidential address andonebusiness premises as part of the ongoing investigation.The arrested male was later released under investigation and enquiries are ongoing.
Pete Easterbrook, Director of Inspections and Enforcement at the SIA, said:
This arrest sends a clear message that through our work under Operation RESOLUTE, we will not hesitate to take robust action against those whoseekto undermine the integrity of the SIA licence-linked qualifications.Individuals who place public safety at risk through qualification fraud should be in no doubt that we willidentifyand pursue them, working closely with our enforcement partners where necessary,in order toprotect the public.
