193 interviews weresecured after employers connectedwith young people toshowcasejobs,apprenticeshipsand training opportunities in the region.

JobsFair ispart ofGovernment'swider youth employmentsupport,backed by £2.5 billion investment,helping young people build astrong career path.
More than900young people attended Bristol's first Youth Guarantee Jobs Fair,meetingsome of the UK's largestbusinesses- exploringjobs, apprenticeships,trainingand work experience.
Young peoplewere given direct access tosome of the UK's biggestemployers across aerospace, manufacturing,hospitalityand construction industries, including GXO, Ocado, Holiday InnandGKN.
The Youth Guarantee is the Government'spackage of reforms aimed at giving every young person the chance to earn or learn, from local Youth Hubs tofully funded paid jobs for young people furthest from the labour market.
Youth Guarantee Jobs Fairs take place across the country, providing direct access to employers for young people and often leading to job offers being made on theday.
In Bristol,193 interviews were secureddue to employersbeingable to provideattendeeswith live updates onvacanciesand recruitment processes.
During the event,youngpeoplereceived hands on advice on looking for job opportunities, completing applications, and preparing for interviews,giving them the confidence and skills they need to take the first step towards employment.
Workshops were held to ensure young people are able to make the most of the opportunities available to them,withone session seeingGooglehelp jobseekersunderstand how to sensiblyuse AI to enhance their CV, preparefor interviewsandplantheir career goals.

Withan attendance at the Fair ofover athousand,it'sclear young people have the drive and the right attitude to work, and we're determined to match thatby providingthe opportunities,skillsand confidence they need to take their next step into work.
Youth Guarantee Jobs Fairs havealreadybeen delivered in Blackpool, Glasgow, Cardiff,Londonand Leeds. These events have resulted in over 1000young people already moving into jobs, workexperiencesor training opportunities.
The event reinforced the Government's commitment that all young people under 25 should be offered one of the following high-quality pathways:

A traineeship, a work experienceplacementor Sector-Based Work Academy Programme (SWAP)
Bristol JobsFair forms the latest step in the Government's work to boost opportunity to support young people into employment or training.The youth employment support package, backed by £2.5 billion investment, will support almost one million young people, creating500,000 opportunities,55,000 guaranteed jobs for the long-term unemployed, and over 360YouthHubs across Great Britain.
The Government will deliver at least one Youth Guarantee Jobs Fair in every region of Great Britain, reaching opportunities to young people in every postcodeanddevolving skills powers tobest meets the needs oflocal residentsand businesses
