LONDON, Feb. 11 -- The government of the United Kingdom issued the following news:
Following The Hague 2025 NATO Summit, this year's conference focused on tackling shared challenges to contemporary security including cyber resilience and the protection of subsea infrastructure. Participants identified emerging risks to systems that underpin national security and economic prosperity and agreed areas for further cooperation to support our mutual resilience.
A strategic forum, co‑hosted with The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies, brought together policymakers, analysts, business leaders, academics and civil society to discuss practical ways the Netherlands and United Kingdom can work together to address common challenges and contribute to collective peace security in Europe and beyond. This builds on recent commitments to deepen cooperation across our shared priorities following the signatures of the UK-Netherlands Innovation Partnership, the Energy Memorandum of Understanding, and the Joint Statement on the Bilateral Security Partnership.
UK Ambassador to the Netherlands, Chris Rampling, and Dutch Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Paul Huijts said:
The North Sea Neighbours Conference exemplifies the strong partnerships between our leaders, industry, government and civil society. In an age of geo-political uncertainty, the partnership of the UK and the Netherlands is paramount for ensuring the prosperity and security of our citizens.
