Ambassador Correa underlined the strong and growing economic partnership between the UK and Honduras. Bilateral trade reachedUS$273million in 2025, an11% increasefrom the previous year, driven in large part by the successful implementation of theUK-Central America Association Agreement, now marking its fifth year in force. She reaffirmed the UK's commitment to supporting strategic infrastructure initiatives that deliver tangible social and economic benefits for Hondurans.
Secretary OrdóñezRubíoutlined his vision for enhancing national competitiveness, revitalising productive sectors and attracting greater investment. He highlighted plans to streamline administrative processes, strengthen public-private collaboration and foster a more dynamic, business-friendly environment for companies and entrepreneurs.
Both sides explored opportunities to expand technical cooperation, strengthen engagement with the productivesectorand continue building a modern,openand competitive economic framework. Ambassador Correa reiterated that the UK stands ready to work closely with Honduras to promote inclusive economic growth and long‑term prosperity.
