LONDON, Dec. 8 -- The government of the United Kingdom issued the following news:

Following theannouncement at Rebuild Ukraine2025, thesecond round ofInnovateUkraine[www.innovateukraine.io]has launched witha further£17m invested by the UK government.

Theseadditionalprojects,together with 12projects supported underthe firstcompetition round,will fosterlow-carbonsolutionsthataddress immediate needs forUkrainianenergyresilienceand security,as well as sustainable approaches tobroader globalclimate and energychallenges.

Innovative collaborations between British,Ukrainianand international businesses and research institutions will focus on developingscalable clean energy solutions over 24 monthsstarting inDecember 2025.

The Ministry of Energy spokesperson said:

Wewelcome and support theInnovateUkraineinitiative as a vital platform for advancing innovation,resilienceand cooperation in the energy sector. Ukraine and the UK share over a century of energy collaboration - a legacy that today shapes our strategic dialogue and join efforts for green recovery and energy security.

This second round brings a further £17 millionofinvestment to tap into Ukraine's talent, driveinnovation, and helpstrengthen its energy resilience bothtodayandfor generations to come.

These projects demonstrate the strength of UK-Ukraine collaboration and our shared commitment to tackling global climate and energy challenges.

Some notable projects includenewsustainable constructionconcepts,along-duration all-iron batterystorage solution,AI-powered microgrids,cement carbon capture and transforming agricultural waste into energy.

InnovateUkraine'sfirst round of projects has brought together innovative technologies and solutions actively addressing Ukraine's energy needs in the fields of heating,biogas, recyclingwasteand battery storage. Most projects arein the process of securingfurther funding, already scaling their solutions.
