Description: The Hampstead Road Bridge is a 5-span, 8 steel girder structure with a composite concrete deck, spanning over the proposed HS2 railway lines. The bridge is approximately 140m long, extending from the existing Network Rail overbridge in the north to Cartmel House in the south. The Subcontractor will be responsible for the design, installation and removal of any temporary works associated with the erection of the bridge deck, including assessments of temporary stability during erection process prior to completion. Any temporary work designs will need to be approved by the Contractor. The bridge deck install will occur over 2 visits, which will be assumed core hours only. Visit number 1 will be to install the northbound carriageway steelwork and visit 2, will be to complete the southbound carriageway.
