Description: Survey, Design & Installation of Ship Hall Building 1/122 Ship Hall B was built in 2003. The north elevation has a large opening (circa 47.1 m x 32.3 m) completed by two vertical lift fabric doors, separated by a removeable central mullion. Both doors and mullion are in a poor material condition after 20 years, and the right-hand door (viewed from external) was damaged during a storm in November 2024. The aim of this project is to replace the doors and associated equipment. The contractor shall quote for two options: (a) A wall to close the opening. (b) A door system to fill the opening but also allow unobstructed access into Ship Hall B when open. The project will be delivered in three work packages: - Work Package 1: Surveys and RIBA 3 Design - Work Package 2: Delivery of RIBA 4 Technical Design - Work Package 3: Installation, Commissioning and Handover The contractor shall develop a fully detailed and construction-ready design package that includes technical drawings, installation methodologies, and a comprehensive compliance plan to ensure all regulatory requirements are met. The design shall demonstrate a clear path for commissioning, testing, and integration with other systems.
